1099’s, they’re going to be here before you know. We’re going to be issuing them out to our subcontractors. Make sure now that you have a W9 filled out the test their name, address, Social Security or Federal ID number. Make sure that information is correct because the IRS does charge a penalty or charge a fine if you don’t file 1099 if they’re filed incorrectly and you can’t justify it. Make sure you have the information now before the crazy season starts and then it’s a lot harder to track it down. My suggestion is to never give someone a check without them completing a W9 form if they’re a subcontractor. Call me at 615-367-0819.
