Earned Income Tax Credit. What is it? It’s a refundable tax credit tax breaks for lower-income individuals with or without children. In 2023, the credit ranges from $600 up to $7,430 depending on how many kids you have, your marital status, or if you have no kids. So, again, this is one of those that’s truly based solely on income, and if it’s low enough and you don’t have children, you may qualify.
