This year, you’re going to have $12,400 for a single filer and $24,800 for a married couple as our standard deduction. Now, if you haven’t filed your taxes you already probably based your information, but if you’ve already filed you’ve got that covered. But that number is very important because if you have a lot of property taxes, of course, we’re going to be locked into $10,000 in what we call the salt tax, right? So that’s your property taxes and sales tax in many state income taxes. So you want to make sure that you’re maximizing your taxes, but in some cases, you’re gonna be stuck with the standard deduction no matter what. If you need help, go to drfriday.com.
