What should we be thinking about on the second day of January? We should be thinking about taxes. It’s now time to think about it, especially if you’re an entrepreneur. We have W-2s do by the end of this month. We have 4th quarter 941s, 940s, 1099s that have to be filed with the 1096 – all of that have to be done by January 31st. So now is the time to really be crunching those numbers, making sure you’ve got Social Security numbers and addresses. There are some serious penalties if you don’t file 1099 and there are also penalties if you don’t file W-2s. It can be 100% of the tax you owe.
