We are in January. So for many of you, now’s the time to start thinking about, “How much should I be putting aside in my 401 K?” Because you want to be able to maximize that $20,500 That you’re allowed in the year 2023. You cannot contribute to your 401 K from an employer in the year 2023 for the year 2022. But you can still contribute money if you qualify for an IRA or a SEP or a SIMPLE if you qualify for those, so you might want to be looking into those to see if maybe they could reduce my taxes for 2021.
